A Canberra Region Wedding At Poachers Pantry
When I first moved to Canberra one of the venues I was most looking forward to shooting at was Poachers Pantry. Just the first mention of its name made my mouth water at the thought of hearty, rustic dishes made from freshly caught game and I imagined that weddings hosted there would be equally splendid.
I’ve now had the pleasure of photographing several weddings at Poachers Pantry and each one has been as unique as the restaurant’s seasonal menus. Jana and Michael’s wedding was no exception. While most ceremonies take place under the giant golden elm tree theirs was held on the spacious restaurant lawn (which fortunately also offered some shade from the particularly intense sunshine).
After bridal party photos amongst the venue’s naturally photogenic environment, fun and tasty elements such as a gelato cart and champagne tower made this a gorgeous day of celebrations for an equally gorgeous couple.
